AMA Snooker Championship: 16 Players To Second Round As 16 Others Eliminated

16 players have proceeded to the Second Round of the maiden edition of the AMA Snooker Championship which kicked -off at the weekend with exciting and remarkable displays of skills by participants.

The games held at the Station One Lounge, Oke-Letu, hosted all the participants and after round of games witnessed 16 players qualifying for the Second Round while 16 others were eliminated.

Spectators were treated to high-quality snooker play, and moments of brilliance that highlighted the youth engagement with the game across Ikorodu Constituency II. Beyond the competition, players demonstrated discipline, mutual respect and fair play, reflecting the core values upon which the championship was established.

Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun, representative of Ikorodu Constituency II, the sponsor of the championship initiated it to promote sporting excellence, friendship, unity and healthy competition among snooker players and sports enthusiasts across the constituency.

With the successful conclusion of the opening stage, the championship now moves into its next exciting phase, where the remaining 16 players will engage in another round of elimination games at the Imota centre next weekend.

Four are expected to qualify from the next round for the grand finale scheduled for the Super Mario Snooker Board, Igbe.
